About the Awards
Magna Science & Adventure
02 July 2019
6:30pm
Following the big success of the inaugural event last summer, the Rotherham Music Awards are back for 2019.
The awards were launched in spring last year to recognise the musical talent that Rotherham has, and to highlight those who work tirelessly to support the development of musicians or create opportunities for performers.
Last year, solo artists, bands, venues, schools, teachers, and composers were all recognised with awards, including Simon Hartley from music festival BeanFest who won the prestigious ‘Music Champion of the Year’ award.
The 2018 awards dinner – hosted by Rother FM’s very own Stewart Nicholson - was held at the Magna Science & Adventure centre and attended by over 150 nominees and sponsors.
The awards – supported by Rother FM - will take place on Tuesday 2nd July at Magna, and nominations will open on Monday 4th February. This year will see 11 different categories up for grabs.
The awards are free to enter, and the closing date for submitting nominations is Friday 12th April. For further information, visit Facebook and search for Rotherham Music Awards or email rotherhammusicawards@gmail.com
